Fantasyland News: Rapunzel's Village & More (Part 1)

Good afternoon! The OTPN Team is proud to bring you a major Fantasyland Forest photo-report today, with countless new information to share with our readers! Let's start with a look at the future village of Rapunzel:

The area is taking shape very quickly:

It will definitely look beautiful, despite the fact that rumors say that it will only include new restrooms:

A new bridge is also being built. It will be a second path to Liberty Square, from Fantasyland:

The view from a side window of the Columbia Harbor House:

There will be a lot of rockwork in this area too, as you can clearly see from this photo:

From the ground:

Moving away from the area, we noticed that some work is being done on one of the emergency exits of "It's a Small World":

Work on the top portion of Philarmagic's show-building continue as well:

The balcony of the Pinocchio Village Haus is also (finally!!) receiving an important refurbishment:

It definitely needed some attention, as the stairs and the balcony in general was moldy and old:

Work on the facade of Sir Mickey's has begun:

  1. Does the refurb on Sir Mickey's mean that the Sorcerer portal is closed? If so hopefully they are not directing people to that portal.

  2. @Anonymous: Yes, those portals are inaccessible at the moment. They will be available once again after the work in that area will end.

  3. Was at Disney last week and talked to a cast member about Rapunzel's Village. She said that she has been told the area will only include restrooms.

  4. If you are going to post so many pictures, try making them all different....seeing the same picture three times in a row, with you zooming in just slightly is basically the same picture as before, and very annoying!

Personally, I didn't find it too hard to scroll down past the identical pictures, seeing as that I appreciate the fact that they were posted in the first place.

  6. About that work on top of PhilharMagic....Are they theming the top of that building so that it matches the sculpted masonry below it? I certainly hope so. I've always hated that the top part of that building looked so plain and out-of-place. Perhaps Disney was forced to because sightlines in new Fantasyland make it more conspicuous (though it wasn't exactly hidden prior to this expansion).
